I realize the airlines are not nonprofit.

But:

I think the they have their priorities mixed. They are the elite and fastest form of travel (until something else comes up). Maybe show how their customers they care.? Charge more, possibly, but give value for the money.

And please---let them not set passengers against each other by trying to shake the remaining change out of their pockets
