Nowadays it’s tempting to let the important little personal gestures slide. It seems history is working against them!

Technological advances encourage us to lead virtual and singular lives; the enforced isolation of the pandemic adds to it also.

Sometimes we tend to forget to “Dance with who brung us.”*

About a week before most holidays, I’m bombarded by Internet solicitations on how to show your loved ones you really care. The week before this Father’s Day I actually got an email from Therapypet.com informing me of a 20% discount on the cost of a doctor’s letter certifying that the father in my life, was suffering from anxiety and/or depression. The letter would qualify him to own an emotional support pet. It took me a while to figure out that this dad could be me, one of my sons or my son-in-law.

How sensitive of old dad’s emotions -- a 20% discount on an emotional support pet.

Thank God my son, you really do care!

There isn’t a day that goes by during weeks before Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and other recognized holidays that I don’t get more than one advert from Jacquie Lawson. Somehow the e-card company seems to know when family members…
