Back in the 50s when Tuckers Gramps was running the company (Swanson). TV dinners sold for around $1.00.
Competitors did a study and found out that consumers were paying close to $13.00 a pound for the minuscule Turkey portion of a Swanson TV Turkey Dinner when market prices on the potatoes, corn and other ingredients were factored in.
Also ranked as the among the highest in sodium, calories and carbs of any of the dinners.
Much like Tucker’s program.
Where’s the meat?
