In the years I've been a writer member of Medium, the accounting of the money flowing in and out of the platform has alway been ambiguous. Management sends emails answering only a few of the many questions I'm sure it gets with words that are carefully arranged to allow for elastic interpretation.

Seems like the platform is still looking for a proper fiscal equilibrium where we writers can make enough money to continue and they can--get rich.
