What a word with which to work! Thanks Nancy!

The 100 word drabble is following.

He was just a guy who wanted to expand his linguistic horizons — a lexiphile.

He sat on his toilet with a dictionary at 8:30 in the morning.

He swore to his mother, a 6th grade teacher (retired), he’d learn one new word a day for the rest of his life.

The bathroom break was a perfect time..

He opened his dictionary to a random page and spotted ‘cumbrous.’

“Hey Mrs Frump!” he greeted his gossipy next door neighbor who was walking her annoying balloon of a dog in the condo hall.

“Pleasure to see you and your cumbrous doggy!” what did she know about ‘cumbrous?’

“He’s not fat, you prick!” she replied to his surprise.
